As salamu allaiqum
I don't understand how people can so easily think about doing magic on someone by asking a magician. They don't realize how big of a sin this is.
I am sharing some Hadiths that show that both doing magic and getting it done are forbidden (Haram) in Islam:
1. Avoid the seven destructive sins
The companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what are they?"
The Prophet (PBUH) said:
- Associating partners with Allah (Shirk).
- Doing magic.
- Killing someone without a right.
- Taking interest (Sood).
- Eating the wealth of an orphan.
- Running away from the battlefield.
- Falsely accusing innocent, believing women of adultery.
2. Reported by Imran bin Hussain (RA)
The Prophet (PBUH) said:
"He is not one of us who practices omens or has them practiced for him, or who claims to know the unseen (fortune-telling) or goes to someone who claims it, or who performs magic or has magic performed for him. Anyone who goes to a fortuneteller and believes what he says has disbelieved in what was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)."
